My name is Kirsty Oliver and I am 29 years old. I am a Crossfit athlete and compete in both National and International competitions. This is my 4th year in the sport and I currently rank 5th fittest in the UK and 1st in the Southeast. I tend to do 4 competitions a year where I go up against at least 300 girls and so far in my athletic career I have made the podium at least ten times with 6 finishes in 1st place.

Before I found Crossfit I worked in the Prison Service for six years. Working with male offenders was a real eye opener, an experience I will never forget. After six long years I hung my keys up, moved myself to Dover, and went to University with the desire to be a teacher. At this time I noticed I had consumed too much tea and toast and went in search of a gym and this is when I found my partner Ben Stroud who owns Whitecliffs Crossfit in Dover.

Being introduced to Crossfit is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I started the sport with zero weightlifting experience and minimal gymnastic skills. My coach and also now partner Ben Stroud has given me endless opportunities and worked with me tirelessly for 4 years to make me a better athlete. To go from not having a clue to being ranked 5th in the UK is an achievement itself. However I am not done, my goal is to simply become a better version of myself and get to The Crossfit Games in America.

I am super excited to be sponsored by Hydratem8. With their bottles I can now track my water intake anytime anywhere to ensure that I am kept hydrated. It is really important for me to drink enough to ensure that my performance stays on top form. When it comes to competing I am used to doing a fair bit of travelling and usually carry bottles of water in my bag and cram my food into tupperwere, pots. 9 times out of 10 by the end of the journey I would end up with water and food leakages!

With Hydratem8 bottles and food pots I can relax and trust that I will have a leak free bag!
