First thing in the morning, have a cup of warm water with a couple of slices of lemon, to begin to remove toxins from the body.
When shopping, pick up more cucumber than you need for a salad – you can put the extra in water to drink, or use on your eyes to refresh and rejuvenate the surrounding skin.
Buy a firm but not rough body brush. Use to remove dead skin cells and allow your skin to breathe, whilst stimulating the circulation and removing more toxins.
When trying to eat healthily, think outside the box – use bones from meat to make up a delicious bone broth, healthy and nutritious as well as a great aid to hydration. You can treat vegetables the same way, and for extra flavour use herbs to lift the taste.
Keep boxes of red grapes on your desk – they hydrate and stave off hunger pangs. Equally so, carrot batons, celery batons and cucumber slices stored in an airtight container will give you a quick snack as opposed to fatty foods such as crisps, when you have that hunger craving.
Keep some rehydrate sachets in your medicine cupboard, for those times you may over-indulge and need to rehydrate quickly.
For a quicker reboot of your system and fast removal of toxins, drink only water or water-based hydration for 24 hours. This can include broths, or no-sugar flavoured waters.
Juice vegetables and fruit before they go off, if you think you won’t use them, but only use water or natural flavoured waters to dilute. For a really quick lunch, juice tomatoes, add seasoning and then use fresh and crunchy vegetables to dip in!
When exercising, never overdo it. Stop before the real burn sets in, as this goes hand in hand with dehydration, so keep that water bottle near to hand.
Get plenty of relaxation time, and good consistent sleep – but always keep your water close!
